SO AWFUL, IT WILL WANT TO MAKE YOU SLAP TARA'S MAMA!
I can not believe how incredibly painful it was to watch this ridiculous pile of cinematic garbage. Unless you like watching little twelve year old girls take selfies of themselves, play dress up and trash each other, then you might want to totally avoid this embarrassing mess. I wonder of the creator Tara Subkoff has a day job? because film making isn't her forte, I'm afraid. Maybe the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon is hiring? I also wonder how Tara got some relatively big names like Timothy Hutton, Chloë Sevigny and Balthazar Getty to be a part of this joke? I wonder if they were friends with Tara and did it to be nice or if rent was due, or maybe they were abducted at gunpoint and forced to make this movie? Whatever the case, this is one movie that they should put wayyyyy in the back of their professional repertoire. Better yet, just omit it completely, like it never happened.To be fair, the little girls could act. They were real and believable, maybe a little too believable. There is all this insane hashtag nonsense that keeps exploding all over the screen like a bad video game. In fact, they really took the cartoon-ish video game theme too far over the edge for my taste. The movie tries to be artsy fartsy but ends up just being fartsy.
If you care, here is a very brief synopsis of what you are NOT missing.
A pack of dysfunctional, rich, little brats, text on their phones, giggle, play dress up, take tons of selfies and make a sport out of trashing each other to the extreme. They throw in an urban legend about a frustrated artist that went insane and killed a bunch of people in the house where the leader of the mean girls lives.
You are praying the whole movie to see these little annoying brats bite the dust. One by one, they start to get killed off. It's totally predictable. In the worst role that Timothy Hutton has ever played, h really overacts to the extreme. There are times when I almost turned it off because it was so annoying. I had to rewind several times because I kept falling asleep, only to find , that just like a daytime soap opera, I did not miss a thing.
If you are totally bored and have nothing better to do and like watching crap ooze from your TV, phone or computer, then I guess #Horror is for you. Otherwise, avoid this mess like the plague.
